Hymenochirus curtipes, also known as Western Dwarf Clawed Frog, is a species of frog in the Pipidae family. It is found in Democratic Republic of the Congo, possibly Central African Republic, and possibly Republic of the Congo. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, freshwater lakes, and freshwater marshes.
British Labour politician and first elected mayor of London Ken Livingstone was the first ever person to breed Hymenochirus curtipes in captivity.[1]
